At Janata Times 24, we consider truth and accountability towards all content we publish. Thus, trust from readers is of prime importance, and we rectify errors immediately wherever we come across them. Corrections, updates, and clarifications are dealt with according to this policy.
Accuracy Commitment
We do our best to report the news accurately and fully at the time of publication based on the information we have, but when mistakes occur, we err on the side of expediency, correcting our error and letting our readers know quickly and transparently.
Editing Published Stories
Whenever we correct an error or add new information in a story, we note what we have done.
- For major corrections we give statement at the head of the article in bold: [Correction: Updated Information…].
- The correction note describes what was wrong and what was corrected.
- Readers can also send corrections through the “Suggest a Correction” link at the bottom of each story or by emailing to us on support@janatatimes24.in.
Types of Corrections
- Substantive Corrections
If major errors appear in an article, headline, photo caption, graphic, video or other material, we correct them as soon as possible and include an explanatory note on why the change was made. - Clarifications
If the content is correct but not worded properly to explain or convey all of the information, we reword the content to better explain it and attach a clarification note. This includes but is not limited to:- Including comments or updates from stakeholders that were missing.
- Updating the story for new developments or added context.
- Editor’s Notes
If an error within an article has a profound influence on its content or otherwise raises ethical questions, an editor’s note may be included. This decision must be approved by a senior editor and the note should explain the problem.

Corrections on Social Media
If erroneous information is posted on our social media sites, we correct it on the social media platform itself. If we cannot correct it on the social media site, the erroneous post will be retracted
Take-Down Requests
In principle, we at Janata Times 24 do not respond to takedown notices. If a subject contests the accuracy of a report, we are happy to investigate the claim, and if warranted, to publish a correction or follow-up.
We will consider removal requests for publically accessible personal data only in circumstances where there is evidence of a real, tangible threat to safety arising from its publication.
AI-Powered Content Corrections
We use AI tools like ChatGPT and other models for editing and improvement in accuracy. Please let us know if there is some wrong or outdated information, sharing the correction details with us. This will be updated in content and images promptly as needed.
